Today’s computers are quickly moving towards tablet computing with a cloud backend. We are finding more and more services moving to a cloud based solutions. We simultaneously  have been storing less and less on our local computers. This has caused a huge decrease in desktop sales. Device projections 2008 – 2015. We have moved from a market of 45% of computers where desktops today market of 23%. Today tablets take about 18% of the market and are growing rapidly. These tablets cannot replace laptops for most people creating a lot of media/documents. IOS has a very limited filing system and cannot replace a standard computer.. yet. I would guess that about 40% of people would be happy with a tablet as their only computer these days. Most people are consumers when it comes to content. These tablet devices are prefect for daily media consumption and the occasional email or two.
